Take Time To: Check Out ‘The Hunger Games’ Trailer

Yes it has finally arrived! We were given a 15 second teaser that showed us absolutely nothing but now we get the full length trailer and we will not be disappointed. It looks like they show the whole beginning of the movie but I trust that there are more surprises in store. See for yourself!

Getting excited for March 23rd when the movie comes out? Me too!

Take Time To: Use Your #25hours!

Today is the best day in the world. Today is the day when you get 25 hours in a day… for real! Yes, you guessed it. It is Day Light’s Savings! We all woke up this morning, whined about how late it was, then had the “aha” moment where we turned back the clock and realized that we wok up pretty early! Although my intent was to be productive, I ended up using my extra hour to sleep. Oh well, there is always next year!

How did you use your 25th hour? Let me know!

Take Time To: Stalk Halloween Photos On Facebook

I love Halloween. I especially love stalking people’s photos on Facebook after the fact. Whether the person is your best friend or not, for some reason I just need to know EVERYONE’S costume ideas! This year there were a lot of Black Swans, Pan Am Flight Attendants, and the ever popular policeman, firefighters, etc. What surprised me were the lack of Kate Middletons and other pop culture references from this year. This year it snowed which made it difficult to go out. However I still managed to at least get on a costume. This year I was…

Doug Funnie! And my best friend Jenna was Skeeter.

What were you this Halloweekend? What were some of the best costumes you saw? Let me know!

Take Time To: Catch Up On Your Tivo!

We are about halfway into the fall television season and it is right about now where I get backed up on my show. That’s why this week you should take time to catch up on your Tivo! There are a couple shows I taped but have yet to watch at all. One of these included 2 Broke Girls. I was finally able to watch a couple of episodes and I seriously love it! It is nice to find a good show to add to the roster, and this one definitely makes the cut. I can’t wait to catch up on the whole season thus far!

Any new shows you discovered this season? How far behind are you on your Tivoed shows? Share below 🙂

Take Time To: Get Yourself A Halloween Costume

AHHH!!! Halloween is around the corner and you don’t have anything to wear! Sure, you could always grab a belt and be Quailman but I’m sorry boys… it’s been done! And ladies, you don’t want to be that girl who just slapped on a pair of bunny ears to your slutty black outfit, do you? Now’s the time to think of something cute and witty (and low budget) to be this year. And IMHO, don’t get a costume from Party City because I guarantee you will bump into 12 other police officers and race car drivers while you are out. You don’t want to be wearing the same costume as someone else! I have not yet decided on what I will be but here are some cute costumes I found that seem to be pretty low budget and some of my past costumes too!

The cast of Dexter!

Michael Phelps!

Peter Pan & Captain Hook 2010

Woody & Buzz 2011

What are you going to be for Halloween this year? Let me know if you have any good costume ideas!

Take Time To: Remember Steve Jobs

I was extremely sad when I found out that Steve Jobs passed away this week. As a person, he may not have had the best reputation but nobody would deny that he was a visionary. Besides making Apple the powerhouse it is today, he also transformed another company that touches my heart- Pixar. I was in the city this weekend and walked past an Apple Store on 5th Avenue when I almost cried. There were over 1,000 post-its stuck to the wall of the store with people leaving notes about Jobs. There were also tons of flowers left at the store as well. This isn’t the first Apple store to become a memorial for Jobs and it is well deserved.

What will you miss most about Steve Jobs?

Take Time To: Watch The Final Season Of Desperate Housewives

We are back to square one. “I know what you did. It makes me sick. I’m going to tell.” The true fans of the show will know what I’m talking about. For those who don’t, you will have to start at season 1 to fully understand what those words mean. It is sad to see the ladies of Wisteria Lane go but the show has really taken a turn for the ridiculous over the years. A hurricane, plane crash, dead body, etc. How much stuff can happen on one block?! So even though the show has become a little ridiculous, I am still caught up in the drama of each season. Plus, I want to see how it all ends! Try to catch up if you can!

Are you a fan of Desperate Housewives?

Take Time To: Stay Home And Relax

I had the best day yesterday. Do you know what I did? NOTHING. Yes, I enjoyed sitting at home and doing nothing. I read, ordered delivery, drank some margaritas, played Super Nintendo, got some ice cream, watched a movie, and lounged. It sounds like a lot but really, it is a whole lot of nothing and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sometimes you have tons to do but all you really want to do is nothing at all. Give in to that need to sit and relax. It’ll be the best decision you make all week!

What are some of your favorite “nothing” activities? Share them below!

Take Time To: Never Forget

I’m sure you all remember where you were and what you were doing the day the planes hit the Twin Towers 10 years ago. I know I do. I was sitting in my eighth grade Spanish class when I heard the news over the loud speaker. Kids kept getting picked up by their parents and I had no idea why. We will never forget September 11, 2001. Below is one particularly good commercial I saw paying respect to New York. Is this genius and sweet or tacky and distasteful? You decide:

Where were you on September 11, 2001?

Take Time To: Have A Girls Night Out

We are busy folks. We don’t have much time to ourselves. We certainly don’t have time to go out and have fun. Any free time you have you just want to spend sleeping in bed. Sometimes however, you need to suck it up. Get out of your pajamas and get your ass out of the house. Whether it is a special occasion, or just some much needed fun, you should really go out and spend time with the girls (Miley Cyrus was on to something)! Boys, you are equally entitled to have a boys night out. Take time this week to go out, have fun, and make some bad decisions! It may seem like a hassle at the time, but you will be happy you decided to go.

When was the last time you had a GNO? Tell me all about it!
